As many of you know, Lauren and I are going to DL for the first time ever in September. To say we are excited is an under statement. Who has been? I know everyone tells us we are going to think it is small when we get out there, and we are prepared for that. We have some ADRS already. Where should we go first? Let me know!

I've never been and doubt I'll get to go until the kids grow up at least - its bad enough having a 9 - 10 hr flight to Orlando with them, I dont think I'd last any longer!!!

We went to California Adventure, didn't get to go to Disneyland...I do have to say the scariest part was the freak ferris wheel...do the ones that move cause that totally freaks you out. The flight there I guess wasn't so bad because I slept the entire way but the flight home does suck...personal suggestion take a tylenol pm before you take off, it'll help you sleep on your way back.

Are u just going to DL or are you go to UH also? If you do go to UH get ur comp passes changed here first and then get the VIP tour out there it's worth the money...seriously...

Well, Disneyland is my first home. There's certain rides to hit up. There's Indianna Jones, Matterhorn that WDW doesn't have. Then there's Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder Mountain, and don't miss Space Mountain!!!! The one in DLR is waaaay fast and totes awesome!!!
In California Adventure, be prepared for major construction work wall action going on!!!! But don't miss California Screamin' while there. Also, I think Soarin' over California is better in CA, so go on it, at least for the line. Then, if it's not too hot and the line isn't too bad, hit up Grizzly River Run. ToT is way different in California Adventure, so if you want you can go see that.
Then, do not miss Fantasmic! at DLR!!!! It is way better in California, and the one in DHS is just a sad comparison to the one in DLR. But Maleficent in dragon form is not making a show last i heard. Other than that, those are the top rides to go on!!! Hope that helps!

Don't forget to ride The haunted mansion...I CAN'T WAIT FOR THAT! Nick says we can go next year as long as he can go to Comic Con...hmm...I think that's fair!

not really interested in going to Universal out there. Mikey For this, you get a Mickey Bar... our treat. As for general advice, enjoyng D-Land demands you move at a more relaxed pace than WDW. There's less to see and do overall, but the extra touches is what makes it so nice to come home to. If you try to devour it all quickly, you'll soon find yourself hungry for more with many days on your hands. Don't set out to conquer the parks and resorts, but let them overtake you. And don't miss Billy Hill & The Hillbillies. They do 2 different shows (with some variation of songs and jokes throughout.) Both are worth catching more than once.
